## Context

Hislide.io is a marketplace for PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote presentations.

Presentations made by a team of authors were sold by subscription and individually on the platform, as well as on third-party marketplaces.

## What I did

- Was responsible for the platform's front-end development, including the user interface, integration with the backend and performance optimization.
- Built a reusable, scalable UI kit to speed up development and keep the interface consistent.
- Built many small services that attracted users and redirected traffic to Hislide.io.
- A large part of my work was automating competitor tracking and statistics collection. My team collected data on every new presentation added to all known marketplaces and tracked its sales. When a competitor had a successful sale, we passed it straight to the design team, who analyzed the winning cases to create new presentations.
- Built cross-platform dashboards in close collaboration with the Product Owner. A typical task: combining sales from the online store module with Google Analytics and Google Search Console data to map the customer journey and see which channels converted best.

## Results

- With a very small team we built small services that took other teams months — 3–4 a month. Some of them still run today, for example a custom icon font: [fontkiko.com](https://www.fontkiko.com).

- **Ownership**: Owned the platform's front end and the competitor-tracking automation.
